I
have been a licensed massage therapist for over fifteen years
now and have utilized many different forms of physical therapy,
all of which are potent in their own right including:
- deep tissue massage
- neuro-muscular therapy
- myofascial release
- cranio-sacral
- structural integration and
others
While using these techniques
I have been able to get tremendous benefits for my client base
which includes:
- vehicle accident victims
- repetitive strain injuries
- sport related injuries
- professional dancers
Muscle Therapy sessions include
educating the client regarding the following;
- Customized Rehabilitation
Programs; addressing the individual regardless of age
or physical ability. This consist of a series of modified
stretches and strengthen exercises to allow you to regain
flexibility and functional strength throughout your body.
- Functional Strength;
You may be strong in certain linear movements but does this
translate into functional strength which allows you to engage
the demands of you work day without becoming exhausted at
the end of it.
- Ergonomic Awareness;
The distribution of energy within the body to perform work
is done more efficiently when we utilise proper posture. Failure
to do so leads to the chronic adaptation of improper posture.
This can become deleterious to our health by constricting
our breathing cycle, triggering hyperactivity of the sympathetic
nervous system which governs the fight or flight response
and thereby affecting our moods.
